Welder Training Program
Cameron has not only welded for most of his life but is also a Welding Engineer, holding a BA degree from Trenton State College, NJ. Cameron is a true welding expert. He has provided technical expertise to the US Navy and Coast Guard. As an AWS Certified Welding Inspector/Instructor, for more than 26 years, he has taught throughout the US and internationally.
He was among the experts called upon in response to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center – NY, NY and the post 9/11 response to the Pentagon reconstruction. Cameron also served as weld expert for the Statue of Liberty rehabilitation project and to NASA during the Apollo Lunar Rover development program.
Typical projects which Cameron has worked and managed include boiler and pressure vessel repair, ammonia piping systems, ship and bridge repairs, steam and refinery pipe installations, construction and environmental abatement. He has written and qualified welding procedures to ANSI, API, ASME and AWS applications using SAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW weld processes. Cameron is personally qualified in the following weld crafts: Pipe-fitters, Boilermakers, Pipe Liners, Ship-fitters, Plumbers, Steam-fitters, Structural Fabricators, Utility and Refinery "A" Mechanics.
Cameron has performed, supervised and analyzed NDE of weldments using VT, RT, MT, UT and PT processes. He has written QA and QC manuals for many organizations seeking weld process certification and re-certification. Formerly Technical Chairman for the American Welding Society - Delaware Valley Section, he has also served on the National Educational Committee for the American Welding Society and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the New Jersey Education Association.
Cameron truly loves to teach, and participants always complete their training feeling they have gained a wealth of knowledge, whether a beginner/apprentice or an accomplished welder. |
